We are recruiting a well-trained, BC/BE orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in Total Joint Arthroplasty, including revision surgery, to join our multi-specialty orthopaedic practice. MaineGeneral currently has four orthopaedic surgeons performing total joint replacements with two of these surgeons retiring in 2022. A successful candidate will inherit a busy referral base for both primary and revision total joint surgery.

MaineGeneral Orthopaedics is a hospital-employed, 10-surgeon group with fellowship training in sports medicine, hand surgery, joint replacement, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, orthopaedic trauma and also has a podiatry division. Additionally, there is a non-operative sports medicine fellowship consisting of five fellowship-trained non-operative sports medicine physicians and two fellows annually. There is a great opportunity for teaching and education with the fellows and the family medicine residents. The selected candidate will join the call pool with 10 other surgeons allowing for a great work-life balance! Income base is guaranteed with a productivity bonus.
