The Job
The Digital Producer II will supervise the development and delivery of editorial sponsorships and special projects across CNN’s owned and operated platforms including desktop web, mobile web and mobile apps. On a daily basis, this person will operate as a project manager, overseeing multiple video sponsorships from ideation to troubleshooting and debriefs. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with editorial, research, product and sales teams to create concepts, optimize content and interpret data. This is a key role that will streamline workflows with our partners and position us to meet our business goals.
The Daily
Launch and manage medium-scale digital sponsorships juggling several at a time with different stakeholders
Gather and review data; Use data analysis to make recommendations on scope and programming strategies of sponsorships and special projects
Optimize and distribute video across CNN’s core platforms and monitor performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot concerns with sponsorship assets, rollout, delivery and pacing
Explore formats for innovative video storytelling to increase discoverability and improve user experience
Partner with features producers and sales liaisons to develop pitches and recommend integration opportunities
Build relationships and workflows with editors, producers, programmers, social and other teams to guarantee the successful launch and promotion of sponsorships and special projects
The Essentials
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field of study
7+ years in digital media, journalism or ad sales
Strong organizational and project management skills with an eye for detail
Experience with data analysis and using insights to inform decision-making
Excellent communication skills and news judgment
Track record of launching and delivering projects on tight deadlines
Passion for video storytelling and the future of the digital landscape
