VIDEO EDITOR & MOTION DESIGNER
Spotted Yeti Media is looking for an experienced and talented professional to fill a full-time, salaried Video Editor & Motion Design position. The right candidate is passionate about storytelling, creative, has an eye for visual design and motion graphics, and can deliver exceptional work while juggling multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. Bonus points if you love badminton or excel at trivia as part of our regular team competitions.
Job Title: Editor & Motion Designer
Main Roles: 50% Video Editing, 50% Motion Graphics
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Edit videos from beginning to polished delivery. This includes:
Utilizing the fundamentals of editing to craft visually engaging videos
Assembling stories from interview content
Translating brand guidelines into motion assets
Designing and executing high-quality motion graphics
Color grade and stylization of footage
Basic audio editing
Generate mood boards, style frames, and storyboards when necessary
Understand, adapting to, and enhance current workflows
Meet milestones and deadlines and track project updates
Maintain edit station, project files, and software, and recommend new tools to keep current with industry trends
Demonstrate a technical proficiency and willingness to educate team members and troubleshoot problems
Contribute to creative discussions and brainstorming of new video concepts
Contribute to the development of video marketing strategies
Requirements:
4+ years of experience and a portfolio of work done as an editor and motion designer
Fluent knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects and comfortable with MacOS
Bachelors degree in relevant field
General knowledge of operating video equipment is a plus
Strong client and employee relationship skills
Motivated professional who works well independently and in a team environment.
Full-time Employees are expected to work 40 hours a week, Normal office hours are Monday through Friday, between 9:00am and 5:00pm. However, some nights and weekends are required to meet production schedules or project deadlines.
