Who are we?
Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility located in Fort Wayne, IN. Known to be Northern Indiana’s only kidney transplant program as well as having Lutheran Children’s Hospital and Neonatal intensive care, an accredited cancer program, bariatric surgery center, and breast center. Our facility also has a Level II adult and pediatric trauma center.
Job Summary
- Under the immediate direction of the Nurse Manager, Interventional Radiology, assists physician and medical team in preparing patients and performing interventional radiology procedures through scrubbing or circulating duties.
- Interventional Radiology procedures include but are not limited to: acute stroke treatment (ischemic and hemorrhagic), embolization of acute bleed, chemoembolization, diagnostic arteriogram and venogram with related treatment for blockages, clot lysis treatment, fistulagram with treatment, dialysis catheter placement, infusaport placement, tunneled drain placement, percutaneous drain placement, central line placement, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt placement, gastric/jejunal tube placement, and vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty.
- Call is required with a response time of 30 minutes.
Registration/Certification/Licensure
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
- Current state licensure and registration (or eligible) with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers
- CPR within 30 days of hire
Experience
Prior clinical and procedural experience preferred but not mandatory
Education
Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.
